MMS International is a human development firm whose purpose is to
develop, produce, and market courses in personal development, empowerment,
professional training, educational programs, and related product lines.
The courses use a Socratic, experiential teaching method that involves
every participant in the design and implementation of their personal
learning process. This self-directed learning produces results that
are permanent. Our affiliated companies, Negaholics® and The MMS
Institute have conduct workshops in a variety of cities across the
U.S. and have partners in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The MMS Institute, Inc. is a family business founded in 1974 by Chérie
Carter-Scott, Ph.D. who designed a series of courses offered for personal
growth and professional training. Shortly after Dr. Carter-Scott founded
the Institute, she was joined by her sister, Lynn U. Stewart, who after
several years of service became president. Over the years, people have
participated in the public courses, and requested custom-designed in-house
courses. Motivation Management International has hired Dr Carter-Scott

If Becoming a Licensee with
The MMS Institute is a Game, These are the Rules...
All Licensees of The MMS Institute,
Inc. will:
1) Conduct business affairs in an honorable
manner.
Honor means to show respect, dignity, admiration, and to uphold one’s
good reputation. This is the kind of relationship that we want with all our
Licensees.
2) Formulate win-win agreements.
We only want to enter into agreements that are win-able for all parties. We
ask our Licensees to only coMMSt to what is sincerely probable. In other words, “Under
promise and over deliver.”
3) Over communicate in all modes:
(E-mail, Cell, Fax, Voice Mail, Snail Mail).
Ensure your intentions are stated, not implied. Follow up on all e-mails and
faxes within24 hours to make certain that they have been received and responded
to. Avoid assumptions and create communications that are honest, open, direct,
complete, and timely.
4) Take responsibility for actions and
results.
Beliefs and decisions tend to result in self-fulfilling prophecies. People
who take responsibility for decisions, beliefs, behaviors, and actions will
never blame other people or circumstances for situations that don’t meet
their expectations. Make your attitude one that looks at cause and effect rather
than assigning blame to anyone.
5) Be “proactive” about
resolving any potential conflicts.
Planning, scheduling, organizing, ordering, budgeting, and booking all require
coordination, alignment, deployment, and follow through. When expectations
are met orexceeded, there are no issues. It is when expectations are unfulfilled
that problems can surface. We want to anticipate any potential concerns and
take preventive steps to ensure success.
6) Be coMMStted to respectful dispute
resolution.
If a disagreement should arise, as can happen, be willing to resolve all concerns
in a respectful manner with the person involved. Ask questions rather than
jumping to conclusions and address concerns only with the person involved,
to avoid rumors and case building.
7) Review the lessons learned.
When a project is complete, pause to assimilate what you have learned. See
what you want to duplicate and what you want to change for the next time. Continuous
improvement comes from examination, choice, and implementation.
8) Maintain an attitude of gratitude.
Being a Licensee of The MMS Institute is a three-way “gift.” First,
you have the opportunity to contribute to people’s lives, second, you
are remunerated for it, and third, you yourself grow and develop each day.
The MMS Institute is a vehicle for you to help people transform their lives
while simultaneously growing yourself!
